Brazil work visas for young New Zealanders

New Zealand, 9th September: Young Kiwis will now get an opportunity to live and work in Brazil for one year following the new New-Zealand Brazil working holiday scheme.

This was announced by Murray McCully, New Zealand Foreign Minister.
As per the latest agreement signed between the two nations, a total of 300 people will be allowed to travel, study, work and live in Brazil for a period of one year. Similarly, the same agreement will enable 300 young people from Brazil to study, travel, live and work in the New Zealand for a maximum period of one year.
The agreement comes into effect from 1st September 2010 onwards and is a rare opportunity for people aged 18-30 years.
Receiving the offer of New Zealand working holiday visas or Brazil working holiday visas will enable young people of Brazil developing more about New Zealand; while on the other hand, the young Kiwis will get to know about cultures and ways of life of Brazilians.
Hence, youth of both these nations to get a live experience of living and a chance to understand the cultures of each other’s nation.
The agreement between both these nations will bring a positive effect resulting in significant improvements in the relations of two countries at cultural, political and commercial levels, added McCully.
The scheme is expected to get a huge response from the youth in New Zealand as well as Brazil.
Mr. McCully will be the leader for delegations of media, MPs, NGOs and several others on a visit to the Solomon Islands, the Kiribati and Samoa under the Pacific Mission.
The Pacific Mission of the current year is going to provide a rare chance for different envoys of New Zealand to help them meet growth challenges and devise the ways to help New Zealand restructure its cooperation towards others.
