Australia moves ahead of UK in attracting international students

International students prefer moving to Australia due to strict Student visa rules in UK

Sometime ago UK has introduced strict visa rules on students. This was although done to curb the fraud cases and allow only genuine students to arrive, yet it seems to be affecting the overall number of international students coming to UK.

According to the new rules students were not allowed to work while continuing with their studies. Due to strict visa rules a lot many private colleges were shut down and the economy of the nation also has seen a setback which is not announced by the government. The colleges were barred from enrolling students and also sponsoring them. All this put together has made the international folk of students move away from UK and prefer some other country.

Among most of the developed countries wherein students want to earn a degree from, Australia is quite preferred. There was a time when Australia had lost its glory due to incidences of racial discrimination and other threats which the internal students were getting. Now with the strict rules in UK to study and work, Australia is gaining the confidence of students again.

Students are given the right to work after completing their degree. Those who complete their bachelors or master’s degree by course work and have studied in Australia for a minimum period of two years are now allowed to work for two more years in the country.

Somebody who graduates in research degree will get an opportunity to stay and work for another three years after completing their study.

The Immigration process has also become faster and smoother than before. The students who are accepted by an Australian University for studying a bachelor level course will get an easy access to student visa.

They would automatically be categorized into (AL) 1 category or lowest visa risk category. This will enable their applications to get processed faster than any other category.

Earlier Australia used to ask for a huge amount of money in the bank account, whereas now the tables have turned and things have become easier for the students. UK was quite preferred by the students since decades but the strictness it has levied on student immigration has decreased its popularity.

On the other hand, “post study work” and “faster and favorable immigration process” has boomed the popularity of Australia in the last few days.
