Alberta comes out with successful Newcomer initiative

Alberta has come up with the bright results with its newcomer initiative programs.

According to the recent statistics given by the Alberta Immigration Progress report 2011, Alberta have successfully completed and brought forward many initiatives to help immigrants from the other countries to find and get appropriate jobs according to their specialization and skill. Many successful programs have been implemented by the province during the last five years.
During the previous five years, around 1, 20,000 migrants from different parts of the world have made Alberta their home. As much of 85 per cent of them are staying in the Alberta, since they have arrived as stated by the statistics as given in the report presented.
The report presented have brought into light mainly the for sectors that is concentrating on welcoming the new immigrants to the province, helping them to settle in the country, finding them appropriate jobs that is according to their needs and also help them building and strengthening their communities.
As given in the report in the year 2010, the 20 per cent of immigrants accounted as the working population of the province Alberta, making as the third highest among all the other provinces.
There has been a successful rise in the immigration number in Alberta as around 58 per cent of the immigrants have preferred it over the other provinces during the last five years. It is looking as fruitful result to the province’s government initiative to welcome attracts more immigrants.
There were some of the initiatives that were announced in last five years to attract more immigrants to the province for its development. It mainly consisted of A Foreign Qualification Recognition Plan (FQR) which was brought in the year 2008 that gives around online facts sheets for 31 regulated occupations and compulsory trades. It also gives information to get funding for the appropriate purposes.
The online tool working also proved very important tool for the immigrants to find their specialized job and also helped employers to find the appropriate employees.
Even to help the coming new immigrant’s temporary foreign worker information guides and booklets were made available in 14 different languages. This helps in developing better understanding of the workplace rights both for the foreign workers and also the employers.
The educational guides were also introduced for different prospective countries, which provided the aspirant students with all the educational system and standards offered.
These steps have helped the province to gain more immigrants and successfully completed many successful programs for the immigrants.
