Alberta asking for foreign workers to stay

As per the current requirement Alberta wants more immigrants to fill all their vacancies.

As there a boom is expected in near in the future the state is expected to look reliable foreign workers to the development of the state.

Thomas Lukaszuk, the Immigration and employment minister of Alberta is looking for change from temporary overseas work force to the more skilled immigrants, so that they can come here and work in the state. He is looking forward to ease the immigration rules and also giving immigrants the opportunity to come and settle in the state with their families.

The state needs more workforces as it is experiencing a boom period, the higher immigration will also be good news for the employers of the state who are facing shortages for the time being.

According to him this step is important for the state as even if they achieve full employment for the state still they will be short of the workers, hence immigrants forms an important ingredient to fill it.

Now the state is willing to let the temporary workers stay in the country for the coming times. The minister is willing to raise the issue to the government. He further says that, “The government have admitted around a high number as much of 2, 80, 000 new overseas people into the country, but still there is scope for many as the demand is not for short period but crucial for the coming times.”

Looking the current and coming need in mind the new rules have increased the time duration of staying in the country, now a temporary overseas worker can spend maximum up to 4 years in the country and again reapply for another four years. Now as according to the four years rules the immigrants will be allowed to stay in the country and work for its betterment.

This is required because otherwise the skilled immigrants leave the country and go to other countries after gaining experience or for the better jobs.
Larry Staples from Alberta Construction Association says that industry requires a high number of immigrants to fill all the vacancies for the upcoming important projects.

According to the situation the state now has to turn for the immigration at a faster rate and those too skilled workers. The government needs to devise the immigration policy in such a way that the immigrants should go to Alberta and should no stay in Montreal or Toronto.
