9 Reasons why should anyone hire a consultant for immigration?

Because a lot of information available on the Internet, there is a feeling that paying for services that can be found online is a waste product. Yet these consultants can add a lot of value to your application.

1.      Choose the program after understanding immigration law. There are more than 60 immigration programs that lead to permanent residency, and there are dozens of categories in which you can request a temporary work permit. Processes change drastically depending on your occupation; employer, Province destination, etc. and there are many conditions and exceptions for various programs as family reunification programs, business programs and other programs for refugees. For many immigrants, some programs more appropriate and quicker. Even immigration programs have confusion and subtle complexity.

2.      Assurance that the file is complete and well presented. Everyone can read a list of documents on the Internet, but there are many details that are not described in the network. For example, what if I do not have my grades in high school, what happens when a company I worked for four years ago no longer exists? What if I work for my family business, but did not receive a salary? These are hundreds of examples of situations where you need good advice to complete the application.

3.      Facilitate communication with the government. A consultant can open channels of communication, not because he has special privileges with officials and government employees, but because he can interact in a concise manner to represent your interests.

4.       Integrated Services. A good adviser will not only help you with the requested visa but also give you tools to help you find your job and your home, recognize your credentials, open your bank account, register your children at school, help finding a good health insurance, or  where health centers are located, etc.

5.      Education and moral element. A certified consultant meets numerous requirements to obtain and retain his title. He has to pay high membership fees to maintain a law library, attend classes and pass the exam, which is an important investment. A certified consultant follows a strict code of ethics and if he breaks them, he may lose his license.

6.      Personal attention. Having a certified consultant who works in your best interest and ensures continuous attention.

7.      Preparation of Interview. A good consultant can help you prepare for a successful interview. Good preparation will help you feel more relax during your interview and to maximize the points you get the ability to adapt.

8.      Resources in case of refusal. If you are rejected, a good consultant knows how to request a revision.

9.      Save time. Not all information is available on the Internet to investigate what documents have to meet, how to do it. A good consultant will guide you quickly and efficiently.

Now, before you hire a consultant, make sure that the consultant will have the right to represent you with the government (see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/representative/rep-who.asp).

Do not go to unauthorized agents even if they are cheaper who charge for advice on immigration without the right to represent you before the Canadian government.
