Working as a skilled professional in Canada

The skilled workers are chosen to be the permanent residents in Canada based on the work experience, education, knowledge of French and/or English to help them be financially established in this place. The federal skilled workers can apply being the permanent residents of Canada and it is to be noted that these workers is for the immigrants coming to almost any part of whole Canada with exception to Quebec. The Quebec province is basically responsible for choosing the skilled workers of its own.

The application of the skilled workers and professionals are reviewed as per the three step process including:

As per the instructions of the Minister, the application is only eligible to be processed in case:
The applicant has an offer of the arranged employed
He or she is a foreign national living in Canada legally for at least a year as an international student or temporary worker

The applicant is a skilled worker with one year of work experience in fields like financial management, specialist physician, petroleum engineers among various others
The application is processed only if the person meets the minimum requirements including:

Having a year’s full time work experience or some equivalent part time ongoing employment

The work experience needs to be Skill Type 0 or the Skill Level A or B i.e. the managerial occupations, professional occupations and skilled trades and technical occupations respectively on Canadian National Occupational Classification

The experience needs to be within 10 years of time

The minimum requirement is processed as per the 6 factors including:
The abilities in French and/or English
Work experience
Education
Age
Adaptability

Also, if the applicant is not sure whether they should apply as skilled worker in Canada, they can make use of the eligibility tool in order to get the idea of if the applicant will be eligible to process and then trying the self assessment to note if they can earn points for qualifying.
