Northwest Territories to be benefited by Canadian immigration agreement

A new provincial nominee program has been launched with the purpose of attracting skilled foreign workers with the required qualifications to move to the Northwest Territories of Canada faster than usual.
A new provincial nominee program has been launched with the purpose of attracting skilled foreign workers with the required qualifications to move to the Northwest Territories of Canada faster than usual.
The Minister of Immigration, Citizenship and Multiculturalism, Jason Kenney, said that he is extremely happy to speak of the first nominee agreement with the Northwest Territories of Canada, following which benefits of immigration will become even more for the Northwest Territories and this will also enable it to bring the much needed immigrants as soon as possible. Provincial nominee program holds an important position in the focus of the government to make sure that immigration system of the country works in line with the labor market demands.
From now onwards, the visa applications of people who will apply through the new Northwest Territories Nominee Program (NTNP) will be submitted to federal authorities for final approval, but according to Citizenship and Immigration Canada, these application will be given more importance during the course of this pilot program which will last for three years.
The NTNP can nominate applicants for permanent residency under any one of the following program types-
1. Skilled workers
2. Critical impact workers
3. Self-employed workers, and
4. Entrepreneur business
