Previous investment towards immigration showing great results

Canadian immigration has already resulted in growth in the province of Saskatchewan and is continuously receiving investment.

At a time when most provinces in Canada are beginning to promote immigration as a method to increase population of small communities present over there, Saskatchewan is counting on benefits of what it did in the past for the same purpose. A flourishing community of immigrants can be seen in the province following its substantial investment in the Provincial Nominee Program. The trend is not going to end as the province has finalized an investment of another $2.69 million for immigration in the period of next two years.

Immigration minister of Saskatchewan, Rob Norris, said that almost thirty percent of immigrants are moving to places outside Saskatoon and Regina, and though the two places are still significant, a greater geographic distribution can be observed which is extremely healthy for the future.

One industry which has seen great growth in migrant numbers is the nursing industry where nearly hundred nurses arriving in Canada from the Philippines have been selected for hard-to-recruit positions. Another set of thirty nurses will also arrive in August who will work for health care centers and hospitals in rural areas.

More than three-hundred immigrants were chosen from their application for Canada visa for getting fast track permanent residency. With all this effort, now the province has the highest population it had in the past twenty years, at 1,027,092, which has mainly been due to immigration.
