Positive attitude (concluding article)
In my last article I discussed a few points to build up a strong positive attitude. I hope you have tried to apply them in your lives and got some benefit from it as well.
In today’s article, I will discuss a few more points which will help you to build a strong positive attitude.
1. Supportive and nourishing behavior, but in limits
These are positive traits, and therefore desirable. Yet, those with a positive attitude are aware of the pitfalls of overturning. Killing with over kindness, verbalizing praise with no cause, etc, do not add to the positive ness of one’s personality.
You just have to remember one thing- give only that much of support which is needed and never over do it.
2. Optimism rules
In the long run, it is an optimist who is likely to succeed than a pessimist. A pessimist is filled with negative thoughts, which hinder his thinking and actions. On the other hand, an optimist always thinks positive and is action oriented.
3. Accept change as it comes
There are many people who feel upset and insecure when some change occurs. But those with a positive attitude welcome change with a smile on their face. Before declaring the change ‘unworkable’, ‘impossible’, ‘unnecessary’, etc, try it first and make it work out in your favour.
4. Sense of humour
People with a positive attitude make a sincere effort to develop a sense of humour. They try to develop the ability to see the funny side of everything, to laugh with others and make people laugh in their blues.
By taking things lightly, one develops an ability to take critical comments in a positive way, to face the truth themselves and to recognize that they are not as perfect as they had thought themselves to be.
5. Try to see happiness around you
Happiness is spread all around. It is upto us to positively believe in it and open our eyes, ears, hearts and minds to enjoy that happiness. A person, who has a negative attitude, keeps blaming the whole world about the miseries all around.
There is no denying that life has its bad, unpleasant and sad moments. There is no denying that in everybody’s life, there are deprivations of some kind or the other. But there is also no denying that along with these deprivations, a whole lot of gifts and blessings are there, just waiting to be acknowledged.
A positive attitude helps us accept these deprivations, manage it, and helps us to constantly keep in sight all the beautiful things we have been blessed with.
A positive attitude is the difference between existing in this world and actually living in it, being happy and giving happiness.
So start thinking positively and enjoy life to the most.
