In today’s world, if you want to become something in life, then you need oodles of positive attitude.
A number of issues go into the developing of positive attitude
1. Self regard and regard for others
Recognize one’s real, genuine strengths, the capacity to develop these strengths, and to use them for one’s own good and the good of others, are the key to develop regard for self.
It not only means to know one’s strengths, but also to recognize one’s weaknesses and using them to grow by eliminating them completely.
Regard for others is determined mainly by the way we relate to others. No matter how well we relate to them, it is always good if we accept people the way they are.
2. Failure should be seen in a positive way
Always see failure as an opportunity to do better. For people with negative attitude, failure is the last step of one’s life. For those who think positive, failure is a stepping stone to learn more and more.
3. Trust others
People who are bound by negative thoughts can never trust anyone. Those with a positive attitude begin by trusting, but when presented with evidence of misplaced trust, are not afraid to exercise caution.
4. Accept criticism
Always take criticism as a tool that will help you improve over time and make you the best in your field. If there is no criticism at all, then how will we ever correct ourselves? Therefore, criticism is the most important ingredient of self growth.
5. Logic
Be logical always as logic controls emotions. Emotions result in spontaneous expressions, some of which will have a very beautiful consequence, some very ugly. A positive attitude calls for recognition that an emotion exists, for determining if the emotion can result in negative actions, and then, using the thinking process to give the right response.
These were a few points which I am sure will help you to develop a positive attitude. More points will be talked about in the next article. Till then, keep rocking!!
