My caution to immigrants coming to Canada under independent category

Dear Friends,

Why am I addressing this to persons coming under independent category? Because, for the people coming to relations have something to hold on for first few weeks or months. Persons coming under independent category and with no relative are the worst sufferers in the first few months.

Afraid to go back and unable to meet expenses, their initial period is a nightmare, but fortunately this period is beginning of their new life or as would other people on this forum would have us believe. Most people in India or Asian countries are interested to come Canada and settle here. People in India are doing hard work to come here. But when they land here then every doctor, engineer,C.A., or any professional is treated as matric pass or unfit for any job as he does not have “Canadian experience”.

To me what appears that Canadian Government wants you to come because:

1. money from which you bring from your country.

2. well educated labour for their factories, hotels, etc.

3.When you go for a job, they ask you donot have any study or qualification fronm Canada. When you get some course or certificate here after a few years or months then they ask you donot have Canadian experience.

Therefore, what I would guide you is that if you have any thing to fall back upon in your home country, just do not come here.

I have seen people come here, not able to find a decent job, and ashamed to return back to their home country, settle for a job like a laborer, to pick 30-40 kg weight and work in shifts for all the life like a donkey.

If prepared for this type of struggle for few months and you can forget about your qualification and home experience then you are welcome to Canada, because your next generation can look forward a good future.
