Points Based Worker’s Immigration has a major role to play. Immigration to Canada is based on points that have been reduced on 18, September, 2003 from 75 to 67. This made more people eligible for the skilled workers category. Based on June 2002 immigration regulations, Canadian government tried to refuse around 100,000 pending immigration cases that lead to make case suits against them.
Finally, those who applied before 1st January and did not score well according to previous regulations will be assessed again. But, if the application was refused in the time period of 31 March 2003 and 30 June 2003, the file can be re-opened and assessed again based on the regulations that were in effect before 1 January, 2002.
