Getting Lost in the Moment

If someone paints the windshield of your car black and tells you to drive using your rear-view mirror you would say: "How absurd!" But isn't that what we do when we live in the past blinded by our hurts, regrets and mistakes?
Yesterday is antiquated and there is nothing you can do about what may or may not have transpired on that day. You can't change one whisper of what has happened in that cold stale place we call the past.
We need to learn how to let things go and relax. Scrutinize yourself in the present as this is the only one that you were ever promised! Live in the moment as you shall be glad someday that you did.
You are the best judge of your dreams and only you can know the depths that you need to reach to. Don't let anyone steal your moment.
STAY FOCUSSED:
If you are at work, then focus on the task at hand and nothing else. If you are having dinner with your wife, husband, friend or business partner, then be there. Focus on the dinner and your conversation.
Well, the bottom line is:
Neither string of concerns? PAST or FUTURE? is doing you any good!
Some signals to show whether you are really living your present are:
1. You feel fully present and alive.
2. There is a complete absence of fear or guilt.
3. What you do feel is a sense of calm and focus.
4. You are conscious of each choice you make as you go through your day and experience joy with each choice you make.
Allow yourself to be on the lookout for these signals, and congratulate yourself every time you notice yourself living in the moment!
TODAY is your canvas; paint yourself a worry-free gift of the present!
