Illegal Immigrants should not be given amnesty

I had immigrated to US some about 20 years ago and had come through proper channel. I had to work hard for initial years to establish myself and during all these years have abided by all the laws and rules of the country.
Now the country is going through tough times with mounting job losses and industries getting closed down, it is time for us, the citizens to stand united and work for the development of the country. These illegal immigrants who leave their country for greener pastures, driven by greed for more money have no right to occupy or land.
In any case, the country has opened up to skilled workers and professionals. If these illegal workers can add any value to any aspect of the economy, they would have been eligible to come through proper channels.
Where is the use to let such persons, who have no economic value added for the country enter our system and be drain on the resources of the country and add to the misery of tax payers by sucking out resources as health care, elusive jobs.
That is why I and the many millions of children of legal immigrants oppose any amnesty program to make citizens of illegal immigrants. It is high time that President Obama should direct his efforts to streamline the immigration rules and not in a phony amnesty program that will cost billions of dollars we don't have.
On the basis of law, illegal immigrants are criminals because they have broken our federal immigration laws. What would they and their home governments call me if I was an illegal immigrant there, the "happy tourist?" Before the illegal immigrant advocates call me a racist, let me state that I am not against the ethnicity of the illegal immigrants, I am against illegal immigration! If they were all Greeks or Dutch, I would feel and say the same things I am writing here.
These illegal immigrants are also responsible for declining wage rates where they are ready to work for lower wages. As a result, the rightful citizens of the country are denied jobs or are forced to work for lower wages.
