The Canadian government has decided that they will increase the size of immigration population in Canada. With the competitive job market of toady, immigrants bring with them the much needed skills and experience to help the Canadian employers- especially in sectors which are high on demand. In fact, according to Statistics Canada, immigrants will account for 100 percent of the labour market growth of Canada by 2011.
Several Employment Consultations of Canada have decoded that they will help immigrants to integrate into the Canadian workforce. They will help the newcomers by connecting them with the top employers across the country.
Another new class of immigrants will allow temporary workers and overseas students to apply for permanent residency without moving out of Canada.
Immigration Minister Diane Finley said that the new class is a step forward to acquiring the best workers from across the globe. She said that choosing newcomers based upon the knowledge of Canadian labour-market and experience within Canadian society would make Canada a more attractive destination for skilled workers who are willing to settle abroad.
A governing body has also been set up to evaluate the foreign credentials of immigrants who are trained abroad. This would make sure that immigrants begin working immediately in their chosen profession.
