An important program to smoothen the progress of new immigrants has been introduced by the G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education at Ryerson University. It recently introduced Prior Learning and Competency and Evaluation and Documentation, PLACED, which is an online workshop aimed to assist newcomers make better decisions about the way they should track suitable employment.

Immigration Minister Jonathan Coleman has said that Immigration New Zealand will inform workers in the tourism and hospitality industry seeking for temporary work permits renewals if they have any chances of getting one at least one month before the expiry of their visa.

According to a study from Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC), applications of prospective newcomers to Canada were processed at a rate twelve percent faster than 2007. The report revealed that it did not took more than thirty three months for eighty percent of the applications to be processed, which is clearly an improvement from the time period of thirty seven months in 2007.

The BBC reported on Tuesday that a young woman from Canada is being deported from Britain because of the fact that she married her Welsh boyfriend even though her visa had expired.

The report stated that 19-year old Rochelle Roberts is almost sure to be deported from the country with an instruction that she will not be able to get back into the country until she is 21-years old.

With the problem of overcrowding in cities constantly growing throughout the country, may be a new immigration program can solve the problem to some extent.

Small communities to be promoted by Canadian immigration

Canadian immigration has already resulted in growth in the province of Saskatchewan and is continuously receiving investment.

At a time when most provinces in Canada are beginning to promote immigration as a method to increase population of small communities present over there, Saskatchewan is counting on benefits of what it did in the past for the same purpose. A flourishing community of immigrants can be seen in the province following its substantial investment in the Provincial Nominee Program. The trend is not going to end as the province has finalized an investment of another $2.69 million for immigration in the period of next two years.
