I'm actually a party animal: James Blunt

London -- Grammy-nominated British singer James Blunt - saddled with the image of a sensitive guy after hit single "You're Beautiful" - says he is actually a party animal.

Blunt believes the media has got his image wrong just because of his one hit romantic song, reports contactusic.com.

He says, "Everyone thinks I'm this quiet singer-songwriter who stays at home every night. I've never been that person. I'm a big partyer.

"I drink a lot. I do. I go to a quiet place and start writing. I'm not an observer, (songs come from) something I've experienced or felt. The last two years will have a place on the next record."
