Craze for ‘Omkara’

The craze for ‘Omkara’ has already hyped up. There are so many movies like ‘Ahista Ahista’, ‘The Killer’,‘Yun Hota Toh Kya Hota’ and ‘Anthony Kaun Hai’ releasing this July but because of so much publicity, the craze is highest for ‘Omkara’

Vishal Bharadwaj has done a great job in publishing his film and this has done the trick for the pre release hype. What’s more… a short introduction of the film is out and has been presented as the work of literature.

I must say that Vishal Bharadwaj has done a great job. ‘Omkara’ has been in news since the time the movie was conceptualized and the craze continues till the present time when the movie is about to release. The title track of the film is pretty good and has managed to generate a strong buzz about the film. The song promo has introduced the star cast of the film. The rustic look of the film is also highlighted.

The movie is set in the interiors of Uttar Pradesh and has a political backdrop. Omkara is the story of a powerful warrior, who lets his blind passion and jealousy destroy his and other’s lives. All the actors have been given a different look and are looking amazing.

Ajay Devgan plays the role of Omkara or Omi and is the chief commander of a gang. Saif plays the role of Langra Tayagi and is given a scheming mean look with stubble on and a short haircut. Viveik Oberoi is Kesu Ferangi and his look is all together different too. Langda Tyagi and Kesu are chief accomplices of Omkara. Naseeruddin Shah plays the role of Bhaisaab and bears a bald look in the film with a razor thin moustache to match that gives him an altogether new personality. He plays the role of a sophisticated man with great influences in the Brahmin society.

Konkana plays the role of Indu and is Tayagi’s wife. The role of Dolly is played by Kareena Kapoor and she is the love of Omkara’s life. Bipasha is seen in an all together different look. She plays the role of Billo, who is a singer and dancer of a village.

The movie has really created a lot of craze already. No wonder, Omkara is fast turning out to be a must-watch film of the month!
