A sneak peak into Cezanne Khan’s life

Cezanne Khan is the darling of small screen and his life has really changed after ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’. He made his debut in the super hit serial of the 90’s, ‘Hasratein’. He also had roles in serials like ‘Palchchin’ and ‘Dushman’ but those roles were very meager. He would have gone unnoticed but Ekta Kapoor gave him a role in her serial ‘Kalirein’ and Ekta was so impressed with his performance that she offered him a lead role in ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’. Ekta made him so famous over night that now his face is everywhere- on hoardings, posters etc.
Cezanne finished his B Com and was supposed to join NMIMS (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies) for MBA. But he got an offer to work in films. He had to make a choice between the two and opted for the latter. Even though television has become his bread and butter, the thought of joining Bollywood did not leave him. Acting comes naturally to him since he had joined theatre in college and has sufficient training in acting.
He got an offer from Anubhav Sinha to do ‘Hasratein’ and he did not leave the opportunity. Next he got an offer to do Neena Gupta’s ‘Palcchin’ and he accepted this role too although he had just a little role in the serial. He then got Balaji’s ‘Kalerein’. During those days, Ekta Kapoor was taking auditions for ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ and the rest, as they say, is history. Today Cezanne Khan is better known as Anurag Basu.
Cezanne is so much particular with his performance. He makes sure that all his scenes are perfect. His friend and mentor, Dipak Kazir helps and guides him a lot. And moreover, since Cezanne has a background in acting, he does not find it difficult to get into the skin of the character. As soon as he does a shot, he flies to the monitor to see his performance and if there is anything that he does not like, he does the scene again. He does not start with the new scene unless he has perfected the previous one.
His looks and his acting skills have won him a lot of appreciation. Last year, he won 'Most Popular TV Actor' in ITA and the 'Best TV Male Personality'.
He really admires Smriti Irani, Dipak Kazir and Urvashi Dholakiya. Infact, they are his favourite television stars. As far as film industry is concerned, Sanjeev Kumar is his all time favourite. He also likes Akshay Khanna and Kajol.
Cezanne is an honest man and also wants that his life partner should be very honest. He has had flings with Shweta Tiwari and many other telly actresses but has not yet found true love.
Cezanne has one more project with Ekta Kapoor in his platter and even a few film offers. Let’s see where his destiny takes him and where his stars lay- silver screen or the small screen.
